Florella et Auguste vous accueillent

I come from this region — my grandmother lived in this pretty village of Monchy-Humières, and it was in its church that my parents were married more than 50 years ago, so in many ways I am returning to my roots.
Even as a little girl, I used to come here to visit my grandmother. It was love at first sight when I saw this beautiful house for sale, just a few metres from my family's home, bringing back all my childhood memories.

We will be delighted to welcome you and introduce you to our beautiful region, rich in cultural and gastronomic heritage.
During your stay, if you feel like it, you can play golf on the 18-hole course located in the village. You can also visit the many châteaux nearby, the Armistice railway carriage, or go for walks in the surrounding forest — with a hiking trail starting right at the foot of our house... and much more.
WONDERFUL Florella made sure our stay went beautifully. Breakfast with good fresh produce, cooked and served in a lush green setting. Comfortable bedding, spot on. Tastefully and charmingly decorated room. Florella really listens, adapts to your wishes and will happily recommend good local addresses... thank you again

Les Glycines de Monchy: een fantastische ervaring! De comfortabele kamers werden recent en smaakvol gerenoveerd. Heerlijk gevarieerd ontbijt in de gezellige veranda. Rustig gelegen. Compiegne, Pierrefonds, Chantilly en Parijs vlot bereikbaar, met interessante tips van de sympathieke gastvrouw. Zij denkt werkelijk aan elk detail. Les Glycines de Monchy deed er alles aan om het ons naar de zin te maken!

Les Glycines de Monchy: a fantastic experience! The comfortable rooms have recently been tastefully renovated. A delicious, varied breakfast is served in the cosy conservatory. Quietly located, with Compiègne, Pierrefonds, Chantilly and Paris all easily reachable, plus helpful tips from the friendly hostess. She really thinks of every detail. Les Glycines de Monchy did everything to make our stay a pleasure!

Wonderful stop, an adorable host couple.
Warm welcome, very beautiful and comfortable rooms. This host couple were extremely kind. As an exception (they don't normally offer table d'hôtes), Florella prepared us dinner on New Year's Day when all the restaurants (apart from fast-food chains) were closed. An excellent meal, much appreciated after a long day of travel and moving house. Thank you again for this thoughtful gesture!

Schon fast ein Geheimtipp...
Ich hatte bisher in der Umgebung eher etwas "früher mal schöne" Hotels mit abgerocktem Bad und schlechtem Frühstück. Hier ist es das Gegenteil. Hinter einer alten Fassade erwarten einen liebevoll und individuell gestaltete Fremdenzimmer. Man kann vor der Tür parken, es ist ruhig und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Frühstück war klasse und die Besitzerin gibt sich alle Mühe, jeden individuellen Wunsch zu erfüllen. Alles war blitzeblank, interessant gestaltet und doch praktisch. Auch wenn man nur auf der Durchreise ist nicht schlecht, weil direkt an der Autobahn gelegen.

Almost an insider tip... Until now, the hotels I'd found in the area were the "used to be nice" kind, with worn-out bathrooms and poor breakfasts. Here it's the opposite. Behind an old façade, lovingly and individually decorated guest rooms await. You can park right outside, it's quiet, and you feel at ease immediately. Breakfast was great, and the owner goes out of her way to meet every individual request. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully designed yet practical. Even if you're just passing through, it's a good stop, being right on the motorway.

An excellent place to stop. We stayed in the cosy Scandinavian room, which truly lives up to its name. Very cosy, decorated with taste and refinement!!!! The hosts are charming. The lady of the house is warm, always available, down to earth, and genuinely attentive to her guests. And to top it off, the price is very reasonable for such a comfortable room and a generous, homemade breakfast. We loved this stay.

A wonderful gîte where we had an excellent stay with very friendly hosts. We stayed in the romantic room, decorated with great taste. Having toured the whole house and the chalet, they are both truly superb.
What's more, the fully homemade breakfast was delicious. In short, we highly recommend it ;)

  • Wonderful hosts. A first-rate guesthouse and an ideal base for a day trip to Paris by train. The host kindly drives you to the station and picks you up afterward!
    Good breakfast and a spacious, well-equipped room. There is also a beautiful garden where you can relax in comfort.

Very thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Everything was spotless. The room even had disposable toothbrushes with toothpaste and earplugs—a nice touch, although I didn’t need the earplugs because the place was so quiet and comfortable. There is a parking space and an electric vehicle charging station. Breakfast was excellent and prepared especially for me by the hostess. The courtyard is also very clean and well maintained.

We were travelling from the Netherlands to Paris, and Les Glycines de Monchy was a convenient place to stay, very close to the A1 motorway. We particularly appreciated the breakfast, the very comfortable bed and the cleanliness.

The cabin at the end of the garden is peaceful and very comfortable, with an excellent mattress. It is also well located, with many cycle paths nearby. Compiègne is a 15-minute drive away and Pierrefonds is 30 minutes away. But beyond the cabin’s comfort and location, we loved the wonderful welcome from Florella and Auguste. Thank you again!
